Because of rapidly growing labor, fuel, vehicle maintenance, and data transmitting costs; not to mention growing crime rates, business owners expect to monitor and control more and more aspects of their vehicle fleets. However, to have a GPS vehicle tracker fail because it is not properly designed for in-vehicle use can be very expensive. Therefore, a GPS vehicle tracker that can handle multiple tasks, is well-designed mechanically and electronically, and can withstand over voltage spikes and harsh environments is what ARKNAV has developed in R-10. The R-10 GPS vehicle tracker is designed for vehicle security and fleet management. Its multiple I/O can monitor many parts of a vehicle, and its rugged metal casing and wide range temperature operation are designed to withstand severe environments. Its multi-tasking capability allows real-time tracking, status monitoring/reporting, and distance calculations to be run at the same time. To save communication costs, R-10 has an advanced design in GPRS communication control. It can be programmed not to send any data but to just save all location information when it is in the roaming area, or only send data when there are roaming partners available. R-10 is equipped with multiple I/O (8 digital outputs (200mA max), 4 digital inputs (high voltage), 3 digital inputs or outputs (low voltage +3.3Volt MAX), 2 analoge inputs (10 Bit) 1 RJ45 port for serial RS232, Direct GPS output RS232 (9600 Baud), 1 Voice I/O connector) Input and outputs can be configured over the air via GPRS or SMS, which allows fleet administrators to control and monitor not only the location but also the devices attached to it. A self monitoring mechanism will detect system lock-ups or voltage spikes and reset the system to its initial state if necessary. Several optimum power saving modes and fast analog to digital signal processing delivers highly accurate response times and longer battery life. Concern over vehicle crime makes remote authorization very important for administrators. Multiple outputs allow set remote door release/lock event triggers. For example, administrators can release the locks of container vehicles, fuel tanks in fuel delivery lorries, or money delivery vehicles only when the vehicles are at the right locations. Apart from the existing functions, R-10 has the flexibility to be modified based on projects or clientsˇ¦ requirements. If such service is required, please feel free to contact ARKNAV's sales team.
